An infographic as a game

In this experiment, I aimed to merge two communication and learning tools: infographics and games. The goal was to combine the advantages of infographics, such as simplifying complex information and presenting it in a structured format, with those of games—particularly an escape room—to enhance user engagement and participation.
Process
To bring this project to life, I chose to use Godot Godotan open-source game engine. Although I’m not a programming expert, I ventured into the world of GDscript to turn my idea into reality. GDscript To overcome technical challenges, I enlisted the support of ChatGPT, which helped me write and debug the necessary code. This approach allowed me to focus on the design and implementation of game dynamics while also learning something new about scripting.
For all the graphic elements, I used Canva and a few free assets found on Pixabay and other open-source websites.Â

This experiment was just a first step. I’d like to try creating more infographic-games using tools like Genially and Miro for future projects. Genially provides an ideal environment for creating interactive and engaging content, while Miro is excellent for collaborative design and idea visualization. I believe both tools can be great for combining graphics, interactivity, and gaming in a more accessible and scalable way.
